BrilliantWork founder Sue Frederick is a living testament to her belief in the uniqueness of each individual. Her life has been a series of successes in seemingly disparate pursuits – including rock climbing, survival skills, key corporate executive, author, entrepreneur, teacher and more. Yet, she argues that they weave together in a fabric that makes perfect – and profitable – sense.

An accomplished rock climbing and mountaineering instructor, Sue Frederick honed her teaching, mentoring and coaching skills while leading extreme survival courses through the Colorado Rocky Mountains for Outward Bound. Later, as Vice President of Content for Healthshop.com (the leading natural health website) and Delicious Magazine, she mastered the intricacies of corporate survival. And she found time to author two career books dealing with how to find and keep joy at work. Now, through BrilliantWork, Sue applies the lessons learned in pursuing her passions to helping and inspiring people to bring joy and brilliance to their work.

“Climbing world-class venues taught me the magic of proper focus, unstoppable determination and visualizing desired outcomes. These combined skills are a catalyst for success in the corporate world and I love sharing them in seminars and coaching.”

BrilliantWork marketing director Gene Malowany always knew he saw things a little differently than most people. And by his early twenties, he found a way to make money at it. From visualizing a company’s image to helping students “see the line” as a competitive ski instructor, his eyes and mind are always seeking unique pathways to success.

With 25 years experience as a graphic design and marketing business owner, Gene has a proven track record for sharing his vision of what companies need to do and how they need look to succeed – and then helping them achieve it. From guiding vision quests and brainstorming sessions to creating corporate messaging by applying his own psychologically-based design discipline, which he calls “Visual Intelligence,” Gene has produced a wealth of work for clients such as American Express, the American Bar Association, Honeywell and IBM. The unique images, styles and messages he has helped such clients create often impact businesses far beyond the limits of marketing alone.

As a former ski competitor and instructor, Gene understands the focus needed to make a goal a reality. His talent for all things visual and mastery of the moves that lead to corporate success make him one of the brilliant forces behind BrilliantWork.

“For me, the world isn’t just about seeing what there is to see. It’s imagining what could be, in its best possible form…and then creating it.”
